The Healing Jesus.

HEALING & DELIVERANCE PRAYER MEETING
Date : 17 January 2015
Venue : Karachi, Pakistan

JESUS IS STILL THE HEALER
We continue to see the love and power of JESUS CHRIST in our services and meetings. JESUS said that all things are possible to those who believe.

We are not against medical science. We want to see people get healthy, so they can serve God. We just prefer it when JESUS does the healing, so He can receive the glory. Lisa Lim

Jesus healing Ministry

Mat 4:23  Then Jesus travelled through all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom, and curing every kind of disease and infirmity among the people.
Notes : Jesus went from place to place Preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and healing their sick.

curing every kind of disease and infirmity among the people.
Jesus Preached the Good News of the Kingdom of God and healed all their sick. No sickness was too difficult for Jesus The next verse, v.24 tells us the categories.

Mat 4:24  Thus His fame spread through all Syria; and they brought all the sick to Him, the people who were suffering from various diseases and pains--demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He cured them.
Syria [[Aram] is a region mentioned in the Bible located in present-day central Syria, including where the city of Aleppo (a.k.a. Halab) now stands. Aram stretched from the Lebanon mountains eastward across the Euphrates, including the Khabur River valley in northwesternMesopotamia on the border of Assyria.

who were suffering from various diseases and pains--demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He cured them.

Maniac of Gadara

Mat 4:25  And great crowds followed Him, coming from Galilee, from the Ten Towns [Decapolis], from Jerusalem, and from beyond the district on the other side of the Jordan.

The Decapolis [the Ten Towns] area included cities that saw themselves as ‘poleis’ in all respects. They created a territorial continuity that stretched from Dion in the north to Philadelphia in the south and from Beth-Shean (Scythopolis) in the west to the desert frontier in the east. Most of the cities were founded during the Seleucid Period, but Gadara, Scythopolis, Pella and Philadelphia were apparently founded by the Ptolemies.
We know very little about the composition of their populations

Each city in the Decapolis was a free-state (polis) whose territory included numerous small villages and rural settlements, endowed with certain privileges. The Decapolis dominated trade routes in the region bringing about prosperity and funding for public art and monumental Greco-Roman architecture such as that found in Gerasa.
Fertile soil and temperate climate encouraged the practice of intensive agriculture throughout the region. The presence of a significant Greek population, who settled in the region at the time of Alexander the Great and the Seleucids, is consistent with there being swine kept by the people of Decapolis (see Mark 5:11, 15:13, 5:20).http://www.atlastours.net/jordan/decapolis.html
