Where was this mountain? The only very high mountains in Israel is Mount Hermon. This was quite some journey of more than 100 kilometres

He showed Jesus all the Kingdoms of the world and their glory.

This must have been in vision. He is able to make us see things that he wants to show us by suggesting to the mind.

The Mount of Temptation is said to be the hill in the Judaean Desert where Jesus was tempted by the devil (Matthew 4:8). The exact location is unknown and impossible to determine. It is generally identified with Mount Quarantania, Arabic name: Jabal al-Qarantal, a mountain approximately 366 metres (1,201 ft) high, towering from the northwest over the town of Jericho in the West Bank. According to the public domain Catholic Encyclopedia (1907-1914), Quarantania is "a limestone peak on the road from Jerusalem to Jericho".

Mat 4:9  The devil said to him, "I will give you all this if you will bow down and worship me."

Jesus knew that He would be given all the Kingdoms of this world as he is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He will reign on earth over every kingdom and man will acknowledge the H e is the King. Now the Devil offers Jesus these Kingdoms without the route to the cross. This was the easy way. The Devil often shows you the easy way out which is illegal or immoral. Don’t fall for his subtle suggestions.

Were these Kingdoms the Devils' to give?

No never! The earth is the Lord’s and its entirety.

Psa_24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

1Co_10:26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.

The Devil is the god of the world, but he can never say that they belong to him to do as he pleases. They belong to Almighty GOD and He shall reign forever and forever.

if you will bow down and worship me."  The devil is looking for worshippers and he has many who have sold their souls to him and who are in bonage to the Prince of Darkness.

Mat 4:10  Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan! Scripture says, 'Worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'"

Jesus could command Satan to leave.

'Worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'"

Bow you soul in adoration only to the Lord your God.
